Applications for student travel 2016

From 2 November 2015, a new online SSTS application process is being introduced for schools within the Opal network, coinciding with the introduction of the School Opal card. Schools outside the Opal network should continue to process the existing blue SSTS application forms and send them to the appropriate transport operators. Most parents, guardians and students won't need to apply for a school travel pass for 2016 if they have already been given a school student travel pass for the current year. Whooping Cough

NSW Health advise there has been a large increase in whooping cough notifications in NSW during 2014 and 2015. A large part of this increase has been among school-aged children. 2016 school funding allocations

All NSW public schools are currently being advised of their 2016 Resource Allocation Model (RAM) funding. RAM distributes funding based on individual needs of students and schools, and gives schools greater flexibility to make financial decisions. The way schools use their RAM funding will vary based on local needs. Some support will be for the entire school, and some will be for particular groups of students or individual students. What a spectacular night! There were two performances from our school in addition to a creative display by students who entered the art competition. Special congratulations to Mrs Millhouse and her dance group for performing ‘Spring Awakening'. These girls performed so professionally and elegantly. Well Done WPS Cricket Teams

Congratulations to the three Wamberal teams that were selected to represent our school at the T20 Blast Milo Cricket Cup Regional Finals on the Friday the 11th September. We had two boys teams and one girls team. The girls played amazingly well, getting through to the finals. Unfortunately they lost by 40 runs. The boys also played extremely well, having one team place 7th overall and our other team going through to the NSW state finals! Boys Netball Team

Boys Netball

On Wednesday 20th May, the senior boy's netball team went off to compete in a friendly competition at the PSSA Netball Gala Day at Baker Park, Wyong. Our first game was played against Bluehaven PS we won 42-1.The second game was against Lake Munmorah PS we won 21-4.The third game was played against Wyong PS again the boys played well and won 28-4. This win took us into the final against WoongarrahPS in a hard-fought game we won 23-17. Central Coast Dance Festival

Congratulations to both Stage 2 and Stage 3 girls dance groups for making it into the Central Coast Dance Festival. Performances will be held at Laycock St Theatre on Friday 19th June at 6:30pm and 8:15pm (Stage 2) and Tuesday 23rd June at 6:30pm and 8:15pm (Stage 3).
